The KVAT Act (as amended even after 2024) is yet to place a specific restriction that input tax credit shall mandatorily be claimed in the same month only and not in any subsequent month. Going by the stand that credit is an indefeasible right and equivalent as tax paid, credit should be available as and when claimed for.
